Italy School Leaving Age

Italy School Leaving Age?
Hello People, I'm half Italian and half South African I moved to Italy around 6 and a half years ago I am 16 years old and I will be 17 in early August, I want to leave school this year since I am about to finish the Terza Media (3rd year of lower secondary) and once I finish that I want to continue on 3D Graphics which I have being doing for 2 years now but I haven't had much time to work on it due to all the Homework and School from monday to saturday.... i was wondering if it was possible to leave at 17 after I finish this year so I can continue on 3D graphics, also the reason why I am so far behind in school is because I didn't speak a word of Italian when I arrived in Italy when I was 10 years old, do you think it would be possible if i could leave at 17 and continue on 3D graphics and attend a graphics college or university (private or public) for courses but not in Italy It would be better to attend one in an english speaking country since my main language is english. now the problem is, is that recently they raised the school leaving age to 18 it was 16 or even 15 earlier this year.... but i really don't want to continue here since i barely even get good marks in my current school due to not speaking the language as good as the natives here and now if i'd attend a superiore i would definitely not pass.... especially since they don't even have exams or lessons in english! so do you think it's an exception since my main language is english, would i be able to leave school and look for 3D graphics courses elsewhere? my plan is to wait a year till i'm 18 but in the meantime i'd work endlessly with tutorials from youtube etc and from the 3D blender site since that is what i use. Please help thanks!

Italian schools are very different from the american ones! 1)you cannot choose the subjects you want to study, they are compulsory. 2)the school begins at 8:30 and finishes at 13:30(5 hours),then we usually have a lot of homework to do every month we usually do a classwork in everysubject, and the marks goes from 2 (which is the lowest mark)to 10(which is impossible to take!!) 3)our schools are quite little,we have not good equipment ,especially in physical education! 4)in the 90%of the schools you do not need to wear an uniform, you can wear whatever you want(of course you can't wear bikinies XD) 5)rules?well..you should not talk during the lessons, arrive late or be absent more than the 20%of the scholastic year try to read this sites maybe they will help you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Italy http://www.ilsegnalibro.com/educatio.html http://www.lifeinitaly.com/moving/school-system.asp ths is wikipedia about livigno http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livigno i suggest you to learn a little Italian before you go there,as far as i could see on wikipedia site livigno is quite a village of 6000 inhabitants, probably the most of thm will not be able to talk a proper English or to understand you
2 :
sorry for you, italian schools are boring, antique, messy and overall disappointing. private eduction is the way to keep ahead.

I live in boston and i have been dying to see europe- the oppertunity has come for me to spend my junior year as an exchange student in Italy- it costs $35,000. what should my daughter wear on a high school tour to Italy?
She will be going in April 2009. She will be going to Rome, Volterra, Florence, Sorrento, Pompeii, and Paestum.

nothing to show off her body.. boyz might try and check the weather if its winter make sure she gets a warm jacket and socks.
2 :
jeans
3 :
Layered clothes so she can accomodate cool or warm weather. When entereing churches she must be in modest clothing (no bared shoulders or miniskirts). Comfortable shoes are a MUST. Have her hold back on packing a ton of clothes- pack only a few main items (slacks, dress, skirt) and a variety of nice t-shirts/tops. Throw in a sweater or hoodie, and a light to moderate weight jacket. It could still be quite cool in April so it wouldn't hurt to bring a hat and gloves/scarf. Something bright and fun and fashionable. My daughter wore a bright green jacket all through Rome... whenever she wears it now she always thinks of that trip. If you want more specific ideas feel free to contact me.
4 :
Italians are far more into fashion than Americanss. They tend to wear a dark color withsplashess of color. They tend to generally be more conservative in their dress also. Especially in the early evening when walking around town one should try to show off their fashion style. Jeans are now quite acceptable, but not worn or with holes as many teens wear in the U.S. April can range from quite warm to quite cool so the layering suggestion is a good one. It also depends where she will be visiting as there are drastic climate differences in Italy just like in the US with the Alps on the north and theMediterraneann to the south.
5 :
I was there in April of '08. Rome was nice and warm 70-80. Florence rained. A light coat and comfortable shoes for doing a lot of walking are mandatory.
6 :
clothes that wont make her feel hot
7 :
april in napoli can be fairly hot especially pompeii. comfortable shoes, don't wear flip flops or high heals, are a must for pompeii as the site is massive and the roads are very uneven.. visited pompeii this april, it's only and hour and a half away from where i live, and it was very hot don't forget suncream
8 :
Hi, I went to Rome in April and Venice in July this year. I went to Rome towards the end of April for a long weekend and it was warm. I wore three quarter length jeans, vest tops, I also wore a denim skirt and loose fiited long trousers. Generally the majority of people wore jeans or long trousers as it is a city break people are sight seeing, walking and exploring. I did get slightly burned on my shoulders though so if she is exposing skin and it is warm don't be deceived and why sun cream. I wore a long top and long trousers when I visited the Vatican Museum. It is largely dependent on the weather at that time so maybe closer to check the weather report over the internet, Hope this helps!
9 :
I am italian and live in Florence.. April is mild but I would bring some long sleeves T-shirts as well and also a jacket as nites are still cold.. bring a raincoat since it rains a lot during that month.. around 1 or 2 pm it can get very hot so tell her to bring some short sleeves t-shirt as well... it is the same all over italy more or less...
10 :
In april in italy it's not that cold, but it varies very much! so she should bring different kind of clothes... mainly t shirts and sweaters, then jeans are very usefull! oh I also suggest a warmer coat for the evening... if it rains it can be a little cold! hope she's lucky and she finds good weather... if it's sunny she would be able to wear not heavy clothes... how do you say not heavy clothes??? sorry I'm italian!!

would it be hard for an american female to become an english school teacher in ITALY

would it be hard for an american female to become an english school teacher in ITALY?
I'm in my senior year of high school and I just recently spent my Summer in Italy. I love it there. My dream it to learn it fluently so I can be a foreign language teacher in an elementary, middle, or high school. How difficult would it be to get a job? what kind of other qualifications to u need? do teachers in italy make good money? Anything you know would help. thanks :)

it probably wouldn't be that easy. but i'd say it shouldn't be THAT hard.i don't know if they would make good money though...
2 :
i don't think it's difficult for you to work there, being an american you will be welcomed by everybody base to past history. but talking of salary they get paid in euros, and more likely it would more or less like the States. not how to get the job, then you might encounter problems since europe like the states is in recession and bad. if you require high salary i doubt you will get but have a try, everything is possible. if italy gives change to those people who are dying of hunger in their country why not people who has a good reputation!
3 :
I wanted to do this myself (i.e. teaching English in Italy), but didn't end up doing it for a variety of personal reasons. But the advice that was given to me, and it was advice that made sense to me, was/is (and this advice came from both Italians and Americans who lived in Italy): 1. Teachers don't make a lot, and in fact it's hard to live well on what you would get paid for being an English teacher. You would probably need to have roommates and keep costs low. You can make extra money doing tutoring on the side. 2. You don't need to speak Italian; they want people who speak English natively, and that's the only qualification you need. But you will learn fluent Italian if you live there. 3. English teachers are highly in demand in Italy. Everywhere. 4. Just do it. You are young and it will only get harder later in life. Living in a foreign country will change your life immensely for the better, at least from a personal growth standpoint. I have known a lot of people who have done this, and all of them have said their time abroad was the best time of their life (including Europeans and Asians whose time "abroad" was in the USA).

Sorry but I dont think there is free schools in Italy for foreigner who wants to study arts...you have to find a way to work as well whilst you are here
2 :
There is no such thing as a free university in Italy . Public University usually has a tuition fee that is based on a person's familiar income. If you are a European citizen and you can prove that you are a single-unit low income family, your tuition should be quite low. If you are not a UE citizen, not only is the tuition quite high, but to get your student visa you need to prove that you have the financial ability to sustain yourself independently during your study period. Sorry!
3 :
Mm... to study Architecture you need to do an exam to enter the University: one of the best in Italy is Politecnico di Milano. http://www.polimi.it/ You can consider "Ingegneria", too. However, in Italy pubblic Universities are good (and better than private ones): they cost more or less around 2000-2500 euros for a year, but the price changes on the basis of your income (so, there're some people only paying 100-200 euros for a year).

Sweety I feel your pain. But number one, is this trip designed for students your age. Overall, i admire your ambition!! More so, have you asked your parents for financial help, other family members, your church, and school? That would be a start. If you don't ask you will never recieve! The sponsor of the trip-should be able to advise you. Goodluck and never give Up, even if that means going on the next trip instead! :)
2 :
How about dog-walking? Lots of people want their dogs walked while they're at work and you could do it after school. Can I also suggest that if you love Italy so much, you think about a different way of doing it, like a programme for students to live and study in Italy? Have a look at this website : http://www.gseabroad.com which offers a whole package for young students like you who want to study abroad, for anything from a month to a year. It offers a really good level of student support for you and, importantly, for your parents as well so that they won't be as worried about you living alone in a foreign country. You may be a little young for it yet, but start planning now! Also have a look at this website to start learning some Italian, which will help you whenever you do get to Italy : http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian - it's free and a very good way to start. Also, have a look at : http://www.mylanguageexchange.com/Pen-pals/Language/Italian.asp which is a site that puts people of different nationalities together based on age, gender and interests. I've used this and found some really lovely Italian friends. If you do make a friendship with someone your age, they may be interested in coming to the US and in return, you would go to Italy to stay with their family for a while. It's the way I started and it's a great way to see the true country. I love your enthusiasm - use your imagination, keep your enthusiasm, and you will get there!

School in Italy with military family?
My uncle is stationed in Naples, Italy and i want to go to school there because i'm not doing so great here. so how do i get a student visa? Do i have to be my aunt and uncles dependent since the school is on base?
Military - 1 Answers

1 :
In order for you to be allowed to go to school on base you have to be a dependent of your aunt and uncle. This means that your parents give up custody of you and give it to them. Then you have to undergo an overseas screening to make sure you do not have any medical or dental problems that cannot be handled by the clinics on base. If you pass that then it can depend on how much longer you uncle is stationed there, if he has less than 18 months then it will be difficult.

It's practically most of August for Ferragosto. It's to celebrate the Assumption, i.e., the day the Madonna ascended to heaven in the flesh... The actual date is 15th August, but all of Italy practically shuts down for the whole month. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferragosto http://www.beginningwithi.com/italy/living/summerholidays.html
2 :
the last day of school changes every yr, and it does change from one region to another, but by the second week of June school is over and it doesn't start again till the second week of September.
3 :
The dates changes every year and for every region, but basically schools are closed from half June until half September.
4 :
generally they get out at the begining of june( from 6 to 15 june) , it depends from school and school and by region( there isn't a national date..)... school start again from the second week of september..but there isn't a fixed day..
5 :
usually from 9 to 15 of june, but those who have exams finish in the end of the month
6 :
Don't know what day...but school lets out in mid June...kids go to school Mon thru Sat...9 to 1 each day!
7 :
Early June every school is different there isn't a specific day
8 :
Schools close this year on 9 June and 30 June each year for kids school( 3-5 old), starts again at about 15 september, at the last year of middle school (13 old) and at last year of high school(18 old) studentsa are involved in final exams until first week of july
9 :
Mid June. Aroiund the 20th. They get back to school around September 14th.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I am going to school in Italy soon and want to bring my laptop.?
What do i need in order to use my laptop in Europe?
Laptops & Notebooks - 5 Answers

1 :
An international AC adapter that converts the current to 120V (so you can plug in your laptop power supply)
2 :
your laptop will work anywhere with wifi :)
3 :
probably one of the power cord tip that is compatable with the one that europe is using
4 :
You will need a network wi-fi connection point, along with the right outlet plug in for the walls. I think you can get them from dell.
5 :
You'll need the correct AC plug for European outlets and voltage. Some plugs for the computer connection are already capable of making the switch by using an adapter from Dell. Contact them to see what you need. So many people travel with computers these days, the manufacturers make it easy to take them abroad.

Hi, our schools close during the summer from the end of June to the beginning of September. Every administrative region has its own calendar. They also close on Christmas holidays from 21st-2nd of December to the 7th of January. Easter weekend is another short holiday. Then we have the one day national celebrations like: 1st of May, 2nd of June, 1st of November. Hope this can help. myahooo!

Anyone have gift ideas for a family member moving to Italy for school

Anyone have gift ideas for a family member moving to Italy for school?
My brother and his family are moving to Italy to go to school. We would like to get them a gift that would help them while they are there. Gift cards are a consideration, but what kind, and where do you get them? Amex, Visa and others say in the fine print that they will only work in the U.S.

An Abercrombie & Fitch gift card. Abercrombie & Fitch recently opened a flagship store in Milan Italy. It is not only one of the largest retail spaces in the world, it is the NEW hotspot for Italian young adults. I'm sure your relative would appreciate the gift :-)
2 :
How about an Amazon gift card? If they're going to school they'll need books, and Amazon will deliver Europe-wide. They can order from the Amazon UK or Amazon France shops online and have the goods delivered to them in Italy three to five days later. Another thought is, if they don't already have one, buy them a headset / microphone / webcam so that you can call each other for free while they're away. Skype works really well, we use it all the time from Italy to contact relatives in the UK. And another is to make them a scrap-book / photograph album / DVD of family, friends and places they love to take with them. You could ask other people to give you photos and written messages to go in it. When we moved to Italy, someone did that for us and it was the most meaningful of all the gifts we received and something we look at often. What a lovely thought on your part - I hope your family are very happy in Italy - it's a wonderful place to be.
3 :
Visa Gift Cards are always a safe bet as they are used pretty much everywhere. AMX is getting better. Other things you can go for would be travelers checks or even a phone card so they can call back often without having to worry about the cost.

how can an italian citizen living in the US, get a scholarship 2 go to school in italy?
im italian but i've been here since i was 8. i wanna move back bcus i have alot of family there. right now i'm studying 2 get my associate's degree. i would like to get a bachelor's degree but i don't wanna wait another 3 yrs 2 go back, what can i do?

Apply directly to the schools in Italy. Your family there can help you select the schools. Good luck.
2 :
You already answered the question..You dont want to wait....So go....If not you will be saying the same thing next year. and then the year after. Life has a funny way of working out for those who give it a try. dont hesitate, make your move and go for it.
3 :
Do you speak or understand Italian? If you are an Italian citizen that really shouldn't be a problem. Just contact the Italian embassy for more information. That really shouldn't be so hard, because I guess you will have a place to live(probably free), colleges in Italy are not so expensive like in the U.S.A. so you will not need to work all your life to return the money,haha.... I am in the opposite position,lol......good luck
4 :
there are some schools that offer student exchange my friend went to NYU and she spent a year studying in Florenza she will go back her 3rd yr to do it all over again. Find schools that have campuses in Italy.

Do 8th graders go to high school in Italy

Do 8th graders go to high school in Italy?
My family and I have moved to Italy one month ago, and we're now staying there for three years. My parents told me I will be heading to high school along with my two sisters, whom one will be in 9th grade while the other will be in 10th. I was shock to believe I will be in high school at first because I'm only thirteen and I will be in the 8th grade. I wasn't sure if it was true, so I'm really asking do 8th graders like me go to high school in Italy?

In Italy, middle school refers to ages between 11 and 14, lasting 3 years. If you've only just turned 13 then you'd technically have to go to a middle school in Italy. If you're nearly 14 then the answer is, yes, you will be heading to High School =]
2 :
Every where is different even in the US. When moving from Cali to MO you would actually gain a grade level so going from an American school to Italian you would probably gain a level as well although I don't live in Italy so I wouldn't know, sorry.

Where in Italy should I go to language school

Where in Italy should I go to language school?
Hello! I'm 24 years old and while I'm between jobs in September I thought it would be great to get some overseas language experience. I've been looking at language schools throughout Italy and didn't know if anyone had a region they preferred or think would be more exciting then others. I've been looking schools all through Rome, Venice, Florence, Salerno, etc. Does anyone have a recommendation? I may be able to do a 2 week course in one city and 2 weeks in another. I'm really just interested in a truly Italian experience with great food, beautiful scenery, etc.
Other - Italy - 6 Answers

1 :
FLOOOOOOOOORENCE! It is the most beautiful city! And the home of the language as it is taught...the official version. (Not to mention REALLY great food! - so I hear, anyway.)
2 :
You could choose between Florence and Rome, the best ones. These are the difference: Florence has the best schools and it's pretty nice, easy to live, small. Rome is big, you can have problems to move, not well connected but fantastic and better food. Remember, the italian food is more and more good if you go down, to the South.
3 :
Splitting the time between southern/central Italy and northern Italy wouldn't be a bad ides. Certainly Rome or Florence would be a good choice. In the north, you might consider Padova which is close to Venice, but less expensive. there are a number of possible day trips from any of these places for the weekends. You might plan your stay around some of the local festivals to get a feel for what it's really like here. There are a lot of interesting possibilities in September: Historic Regatta - Venice (1st Sunday in Sept); the Biennale will still be running through the 12th too Giostra del Saracino (Joust) - Arezzo Giostra della Quintana - Foligno Palio di Asti - Asti Palio del Baradello - Como Balloon Festival - Ferrara San Gennaro Festival - Naples Byzantine New Year - Amalfi Wine Championship - Florence and lots of food festivals [e.g., Pizzafest! in Naples, Gorgonzola Festival near Milan, Festa dell'Uva in Impruneta, Primi d'Italia in Foligno, Fiera del Riso in Isola della Scala, ... ]
4 :
I suggest Rome and Florence. Do you know? Italian language was born in Florence! Ah, ah... Anyway, Venice is expensive. Around Rome you can also see beautiful places and taste good food and wine. The same for Florence. About palios you can see a lot also in that cities. For exeple from Rome you can go in Viterbo and see "La macchina di Santa Rosa" (sorry this page is only in Italian http://www.macchinadisantarosa.viterbo.it/facchini-macchina-santa-rosa.html) or in places around Rome called Castelli (Marino, Frascati...) there is wine fair. PS: was not a joke, here in Italy we really use to say that Italian language was born in Florence!
5 :
Personally, I recommend you http://www.ilm.it/ It organizes not only language courses, but also experiences of real life.
6 :
Venice i'm half australian half italian and being venician i think it's great that you want to do this beautiful elegant language which naturally flows. it's soooooo romantic!!! VENICE has an amazing dylect go there you'll see the only city on water. whoooo!

Help, What is life in italy like for an average 16 year old girl? homelife, school life.. etc

Help, What is life in italy like for an average 16 year old girl? homelife, school life.. etc?
Are Italian Parents strict? Do they tend to set curfews, and if so, about what time? Do they let their children who are say about 15+ years of age have boyfriends/girlfriends? What is italian house life like? i heard its very traditional and women are expected to do the dishes and help cook every night? is this true? what else? Is school in italy difficult?

omg ,how do you think about us? -_-" life is great , a girl is like a boy . it depends what kind of parents have you got! Certainly , we have an ethic !!!about the school , i think is more difficult than american one because it lasts one year more , and it's so difficult in general , we have also an final exam that is the same in all italy !
2 :
Italian parents are not strict, they don't set curfews and it is left to you to know what time is safest to be at home, Italian children are allowed even at the age of 3 to have boyfriends and girlfriends because the normally meet their fiance and fiancee at an early age, Italian house is nice and they have a peculiar time to eat in the afternoon,Italians are not traditional exept in their peculiar keeping stores, businesses and offices closed for their lunch break and men and women do the dishes and cooking and most don't cook at night, they prefer to eat out or order food sent at night or pizza, they love dressing and shopping and the women drive better cars than the men, school is not difficult, you only have to learn to read and write in Italian because they only speak Italian language.

The four Military Schools in Italy ("Nunziatella" in Naples, "TeuliĂƒ¨" in Milan, "Douhet" in Florence or "Morosini" in Venice), are open for enrollment only to male applicants aged 15 to 17. If you are older than 18 and already finished high school you could eventually apply to join the Military Academy or enlist in the armed force of your liking. Remember that, aside from the Army, Navy and Air Force, also the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza offer interesting career opportunities. Contact the Office of the Defense AttachĂƒ© at the Embassy of Italy in London, and ask for further info. Or go directly to the website of the armed force you'd like to join.

My wife is going to grad school in Italy. What are the requirements for a spouse visa for me?
The consulate is less help than you'd think. :S I'm reading different dates on like for length of study requirements. Some say more than 1 year is required for a spouse visa and others say 6 months. What are the requirements for me to get a spouse visa and what steps do I need to take to obtain one?
Immigration - 1 Answers

If the consulate is being unhelpful, you may need to do that when you are already in Italy, at the questura. This is not great news, they are notorious for giving bad information and making people wait forever. If you do qualify, you'll have to prove that you have sufficient means to support yourself while you are in Italy. You may also have to provide proof of health insurance for the period you will be in Italy. Most people I know have gotten so frustrated trying to obtain these that they just do without them, and stay as long as law permits without a visa or a little longer.

What is a normal school day like for a high school student in Italy

What is a normal school day like for a high school student in Italy?
I'm in high school right now and I was curious as to how a school day is for a student from Abruzzo or even from any high school in Italy
Studying Abroad - 1 Answers

1 :
Well, I'm not from Abruzzo, but I live in Modena, Italy :D normal school day? Okay :) I usually wake up at 6.40 am and then exit home at 7.30 to take the bus; we don't have school buses here, and everyone needs to get at school by common buses, or by bike, moped or car (in this case, parents usually have to take you to school, cause we can't drive a car till we're 18 :P). I stay at school from 8.00 to 1 pm and then I go home. Lessons are over, but you can stay at school in the afternoon if you want to join after-school activities such as the School Magazine or Drama.. these give you some credits ;) School lasts from the second week of September to the second one of June. Oh yes! There are some other differences :P - We don't need to stay at school to eat, so there's not a cafeteria :P but some schools have a cafĂƒ¨, a simple one, no tables.. just food and cans :P - Our classes are a lot different. Before we start our first high school year, someone defines some groups of people (usually around 26-30 kids), and there are gonna be our classes for the following 5 years. Usually nothing changes, unless someone's school year gets rejected (dunno how to translate it XD). This happens when your marks are too terrible, and you have to repeat all of your courses... - The class always stays in one room only. Teachers need to move around the building to get to class, not us!! :D We don't have lockers and always need to carry a rucksack with lots of books.... - School choice is COMPLETELY different :P We can choose between different types of schools; Classic Lyceum (with Latin and Ancient Greek, and just a few Maths), Scientific Lyceum (with Biology, Phisics, lots of Maths and no Greek [this is mine!! :D]), and high schools specialized in other subjects, like artistic or technical education, modern languages or education itself. Once you are in one of these schools, you must study ALL the subjects!! - We don't have a prom, or a school sports team, or cheerleaders, or... well, I think you got it :P Hope I've been helpful :D

How much does it cost to go to an italian language school in Italy

How much does it cost to go to an italian language school in Italy?
Is the best way to learn Italian in class or through a book and audio casette course? I have heard that group classes are a waste of time and money, but I don't know what to believe. Anyway, how much italian can the average person learn in 2 months of a specialized language school, and how much italian can one learn with 2 years of college level Italian?

I'm in a college level Italian class right now (In the US however). I've learned a LOT more from the class than I ever could it books/audio tapes. There's a few reasons: 1) I've a set time every day to speak Italian, it can never get pushed aside from my daily life and tons of business, because I MUST be there. 2) It's quality INTERACTION. One thing books and tapes give you are your own independence. However, you can't ask them questions, or get clarifications. 3) I interact with others trying to learn Italian as well & we can help correct each other I'd say its much easier learning from a class than from a book if you TRULY want to learn.
2 :
if you go to the UniversitĂƒ  per stranieri di Perugia it costs 750Ă¢‚¬ for 3 months.. i think it's a good price.. check out the link.. ciaoooo..

Sadly not enough. You'll probably only work 10 or 11 months out of the year as well, since schools are out for the summer. If you're American, it's all that much harder to get a job there. Language schools, you're looking at 1500 euros. Private international schools, if you can get in, probably double that. Salaries and benefits VARY a lot in intl schools. Try www.tes.co.uk or www.ibo.org

Hi, I'm an Italian girl, I live in Italy too. I'm 16 years old. For learning Italian Florence is better than Rome, because the real Italian is spoken in Florence. I should write a letter at Vietnam embassy in Italy (the address is: Via Bravetta nĂ‚° 156, C.A.P. 00164, Roma, Italy). If you want, I'll be happy to help you with Italian and matters you'll do, we can also exchange our Mesenger's address, so i could help you better!!!!
2 :
to be honest, there is no such thing as best school in my opinion. IF you go to italy then you will learn italien. You have to learn or you dont eat. I say this from experience. Your stomach will teach you loads of language just by physically being there. Find a school you like, choose for atmosphere, location and price. Rome is wonderful but it is a big city. Florence is very nice but small. What would you prefere? A big city or small small town? Both have tons of art, culture, history, and magical atmosphere. ive been to both and i love em both. Have a wonderful time. Just be cautious, Italien men are the closest thing to the sterotypical "dog" you will find. I litterally have seen them howl at ladies... but then that was only in rome at the spanish steps.

In the US you have to apply and receive a medical license from the state where you will practice medicine. For example from the State of California Medical Board the key paragraph states, "While the review of applications filed by international graduates is more complex, delays usually are the result of education and training which does not meet the standard required in law and which therefore must be remediated. Other extensive delays occur as applicants try to obtain documents from foreign institutions or when certified translations are needed." Hope that helps.

In theory? Yes. In practice? It will be much more difficult. And do you speak fluent Italian? You'd need to.

I have been looking for a good graphic design school in Italy. I really liked Florence and would love to study there for a while but i am also open other cities. None of the schools have very much info on their websites. Any suggestions? I need a school that is accredited so that my degree will also be valid in Canada. I would prefer a school that teaches in english but the most important thing is definitely the credits.
